Craig Cornell

1948 ~ 2010

Born August 11, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Passed away May 6, 2010. He was born to Hollis John Cornell and Audrey Amtoft Cornell.

Craig graduated from Olympus High School and attended Westminster College.

He spent most of his young life enjoying the great outdoors. His passions in life were fly fishing, skiing, hiking, and camping, especially his beloved desert. He was an avid reader, sometimes reading 2 or 3 books at a time. Craig was a very kind and gentle man who loved the good things in life. He will be greatly missed by many.

Craig is survived by his loving mother Audrey, sister Barbara Locke, brother Brent (Annie) Cornell, brother Sherman (Olivia) Cornell; nephews Justen, Tyler, Austin, Brady, Vinnie; grand nephews T.J. and Caden, and many other loving nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by father Hollis John Cornell, brother Gerald Hollis Cornell, brother Hal (Hop) Cornell, infant sister JoAnn Cornell.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, SLC, UT, at 12:00 Noon. Viewings will be held Wednesday, May 12, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary and 1 hour prior to the services on Thursday.
