Darlene was devoted to her family, to her faith and to the many students she was privileged to have taught. She loved to travel and she considered herself a genealogy scholar. She spent endless hours locating branches in her family tree. She was a dedicated participant in the YaYa Sisterhood and eagerly anticipated their semiannual escapades. To know her was to love her. When we all meet again, we will anticipate the aroma and the taste of your one and only orange rolls, Darling Darlene.
