Don Wallace Gibson

1936 ~ 2010

Donald Wallace Gibson, age 74 passed away December 11, 2010 in his home surrounded by his loving family after a valiant fight with cancer.

Don was born April 12, 1936 in Rupert, Idaho to Donald William and Ursula Snapp Gibson.

Don attended Granite High School and later graduated from West High.

He married and later divorced Patty Jo Swanson, together they had two children Torrey and Devin, later married Donna J. Sampson on May 11, 1979 in Salt Lake City.

Don enjoyed working for Hardy Enterprises for 40 years. He also enjoyed spending time with his twin brother Ron hunting and being in the outdoors, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Survived by wife Donna, children, Torrey (Kenny) Hunsaker, Devin (Anna) Gibson, and Gary (Kimi) Sampson. Siblings, Wanda (Jack) Jarvie, Carma Brown, Ron (Sophie) Gibson, 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law, Kenn Morris. Preceded in death by parents, brother Oral Snapp, brothers-in-law, Bud Brown, Roger Morris, Richard Morris, Bob Morris and nephew, Daryl Jarvie.

Services will be Friday, December 17, 2010 at 10:00 am at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 Highland drive. The family will receive friends from 8:45 – 9:45 am. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
