Brent was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dean Lemar and Norma Jean Hogan.
Brent loved sports. He graduated from Cyprus High School in 1967, where he played on the basketball team and the All-States Football Team. Upon graduation, he was awarded a football scholarship to attend Ricks College. He also attended the University of Utah.
In 1973, Brent married Terry Patonai and they had two children, Joseph, and Jamie Hogan Griffin. One of Brent’s greatest joys was spending time with his children.
In 1983, Brent married Desiree, his devoted wife of 40 years. Brent was the owner/partner of a successful drywall contracting business, H & L Drywall.
Brent will be remembered by his golfing relatives and friends as an excellent golfer. He was very proud of his hole-in-one at West Ridge Golf Course. He loved fishing, deer hunting and hunting Chukar Partridges in the hills of the west desert with his red dog, Anna.
Brent is survived by wife, Desiree Hogan; his son, Joey (Elise) Hogan; his grandchildren, Hunter and Brooklyn and his three siblings Brenda (Dave) Butterfield, Doug (Rick Tresise) Hogan, and Kevin (Theresa Brannock) Hogan. He is also survived by very special cousins, aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to his home caregivers and Intermountain Home Care and Hospice.
