Dec. 20, 1919 – Aug. 16, 2015
Elizabeth (Beth) Estelle Phillips passed away peacefully at her home August 16, 2015 in SLC, Utah. She was born December 20, 1919 in Evanston, WY to Valter Albert and Edna Minnie (Palmer) Martin.
Beth attended East High School, graduating in 1938. During WWII she worked at Fort Douglas as a telephone operator where she met and fell in love with Carl Thomas Phillips. They were married in the Fort Douglas Post Chapel on September 26, 1944.
Beth began her lifetime in the workforce at the age of 16 for Keeleys Cafe. After the war she worked in the banking industry from which she “retired” several times.
