Esperanza (Hope) was a skilled surgical nurse in Lima Peru, who immigrated to Boston, Mass. to find critical care for her injured son. She stayed in the U.S., learned English, and worked 4-5 jobs at a time to bring her family members to the U.S. one at a time and to pay for her son’s surgery.
She was preceded in death by her mother Aurora Vivar, husband Hector Camargo, sister Georgina Huanca, nephews; Gerardo Vivar and Javier Soto.
She was a devoted mother to 5 children and their spouses/significant others: Carmen Carr, Cesar Romero, Maria Ramirez, Catherine Rigby and Michael Camargo. She also adored her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Her legacy is the love and care she showed each and everyone of them. She lived her life with a generous heart, loved fiercely, gave all she could in service and charity and was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She was a woman small of stature but a tremendous amount of character and she will be missed by all who knew her. Her family is comforted to know that her granddaughter Stephanie cared for her until she was able to return to the loving embrace of her eternal sweetheart.
