GARY LEE CASEY, our loving husband, dad, grandpa, grandpa great. Passed away July 13, 2019 after a short battle with cancer. Born Dec. 12, 1945 in Atascadero, Ca. to Wesley Ralph and Helen Prince Casey.
Gary married Sherri Lee Jensen in 1963, they were not only in love but best friends and soul mates.
He was an owner-operator in specialized trucking, hauling oversized loads in all 48 states for over 30 years. Gary taught Sherri to drive truck and she ran with him when she could, while raising the kids. The last 10 years Sherri was with him all the time on the road. After leaving the road Gary went to work for South Valley Water, from which he retired.
When Gary and Sherri retired, they moved to Fruitland, Ut on a small farm, where he loved to be in his garage fixing and repairing things, or on the property riding his 8n tractor learning to farm, watering the fields, or in the winter plowing the snow with his UTV side by side.
He was always helping family, friends or anyone who needed his help repairing or fixing cars, boats, trailers, farm equipment, ATV’s or any thing that needed it. He was always the first to give a helping hand to anyone.
Gary was always up for adventure whether it was flying with his daughter in their planes, riding motorcycles with his son or exploring new trails and places with the whole family on the ATV’s.
He will be missed more than words can say, he was the glue that held our family together.
Gary is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sherri, son Larry Lee (Traci), daughter Wendy Lee (Chris). 4 grandkids Casey, NikkiChere’, Travis, Desiree. 7 great grandkids Caitlyn, Jason, Kyson, Jayden, Austin, Kamberlyn, Aribella.
WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU
There will be a grave site service Saturday July 27, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary 3401 South Highland Dr. Salt Lake City, Utah. Also, a celebration of his life will be held at the LDS Church in Fruitland, Ut on August 10, 2019 at 12 noon.
