In the morning of July 4, 2021 Mom passed peacefully to meet up with her best pal and husband.
Born on September 30, 1930 to Albert M.R. Christensen and Marie Pauline Jensen she was the second to last child of 7 living children and the last to leave this world.
Born into the ‘Great Depression’ she witnessed the great events of her life with full awareness. She worked starting at Kress’ ribbon counter at age 13, and retired after a career of traveling the Western United States setting up offices for Globe Life. She even served as a Utah State Legislator for a short time during those years.
Ched was a true intellect who processed her understanding of the world, life, and her place in the universe through a lifelong love of reading and learning. She graduated from South High School in 1947 at the age of 16, having been promoted 2 full grades. At that tender age she began her life adventure and just after her 17th birthday she married William R. Pastore on October 17, 1947. From then on it was the two of them – devoted to one another and to living their best lives together for 70 + years, before ‘Gunner’ died in 2018. She loved sharing time with family and friends at their cabin in the woods, set the most elegant table for guests, and for just the two of them, and could mix a wickedly great martini.
Ched is survived by her daughter Tracie Fielden, Son-in-law Larry Fielden, granddaughter Danielle Fielden. In addition, she leaves behind, much loved nephews Gary A. Kelley (KC) and Jesse W. Kelley (Diane), and her dear friend and ‘adopted son’ Anthony Ventura and his beautiful Carol Ann.
She is deeply missed, abundantly loved, and will be remembered with joy each time one of us hears a huge laugh or a highly sophisticated pun.
