

Our beloved sweetheart, mother, and grandmother, Ivy Deane Braithwaite Crow, returned to her Heavenly Father after a lingering illness May 16, 2013. She was born October 20, 1927, to Leon and Dorothy Kropf Braithwaite. She and her sweetheart, Thomas William Crow were married by President David O. McKay on June 26, 1947, in the Salt Lake Temple. Ivy Deane’s main joy was her family.
She graduated from South High School and then from Stevens Henager Business College and pursued a business career. She worked for Tracy-Collins Trust Co. and KDYL Broadcast. After her family was old enough, she returned to work as a secretary for the Granite School District. After retiring, she and Tom moved to St. George, Utah.
She loved to golf, bowl, ballroom and square dance, while making many special friends. She was active in the LDS church, spending much of her time in the MIA programs, including 16 years on the Stake Young Women Board. Ivy and Tom served 1 year in the Provo Mission assigned to the St. George Historic Sites.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Douglas William Crow. She is survived by her husband and three children: Kathie Nydegger (Preston), Karen Bodily (Edward), and Richard Crow (Gaylene). She has 14 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held in St. George on Wed., May 22, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South, Bluff Street and Thurs., May 23, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 South Highland Drive (1500 E.), Salt Lake City. Funeral will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing 1 hour prior at the Wasatch Lawn Chapel.
