

Jacquelyn Eva Tueller Larsen passed away peacefully December 19, 2015, to celebrate her 60th wedding anniversary with her late husband, Stan. Jackie was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 20, 1936 to Wilford and Viola Dunn Tueller. She married Stanley L. Larsen on December 22, 1955 in SLC. They were later sealed in the Jordan River Temple.
Jackie graduated from East High School and went on to study music at the U of U. She was a dedicated piano teacher for over 40 years. She spent countless hours helping her students and children develop a love of music and to use music in their everyday life. Jackie advised that, “…music makes you smarter.” She also stated that attending a music lesson, even when unprepared, is recommended because one can always at least learn something by participating. Jackie was a fervent piano student. She continued to take private lessons throughout her life and was involved in the Utah Music Teachers Association. She recently participated in duet recitals with her friend Janna Springer to the delight of her family and friends. Jackie and her husband Stan were two of the original supporters of hockey in Utah. They were season ticket holders of the Salt Lake Golden Eagles. Dinners and family BBQ’s were often spent discussing the merits of the latest hockey game. Jackie always supported family reunions and stressed the importance of keeping family together. Her children will certainly carry on Jackie’s legacy of family gatherings during seasonal holidays and family events.
Jackie was a member of the LDS Church. She served as the Primary chorister for many years and was the choir accompanist at the time of her death.
Jackie is survived by her children, Brent, Linda (Craig) Pantuso and David (Angela), grandchildren, Nick (Alexa) Pantuso, Sara (Britt) Goodell, Chris and Cody, great grandson, Paden and her brother Glenn (Sandy) Tueller. Preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters, Myrna, June and Marion.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Valley View 1st Ward, 3820 South 2000 East. Friends and family are invited to visit Sunday evening 6:00-8:00 pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church Monday morning 9:30-10:30 am prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
