Joe Kingston

Joe Kingston, son of Sam and Georgia Kenner, surprised himself and us all by loving to the age of 80. Joe passed away peacefully at home with family on November 5, 2014. He was born May 29, 1934 in Arco, Idaho during the Great Depression; a fact that formed who he would become and what he taught us of the importance of work and of life. Dad forged on 8 years after the passing of the love of his life, Sharmane Hanks Kingston. This was largely due to simple stubbornness, but also because of the love of his family who survive him: Zeonn (ever his little sister), Todd, Skip, Jeri, Teri, Clare, Kevin, Kelly, Jody, Shannon, Troy, Lynn and the kaboose, Kenner B. (all his beloved children) as well as his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dad was uniquely capable of learning and developed into a man that was everything you’d want for a Father. Principled, tough and tender to the end, there are no words that work right now except for his own: You are such an Angel!

His family will receive friends at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary (3401 S. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah 84106, (801) 466-8687) at Noon on Saturday November 15th with services to begin at 1:00pm.
