

John H. Lloyd, age 94, passed away in Salt Lake City on November 19th, 2016. John was born in Scofield, Utah to Suzannah Gertrude Lloyd and Hugh Price Lloyd.The family later moved to Helper, Utah where he attended school and was always active in sports. After some schooling at the University of Utah he enlisted in the United States Army Air Corp and became a first lieutenant as a P-38 fighter pilot. When he returned after the war, he met Beverly Cronin and they were married in 1945. Their marriage was later solemized in the Salt Lake Temple. Then he returned to his studies in mechanical engineering at the University of Utah and later graduated with an MBA.He was the loving husband of Beverly and the loving father of Jane, John, and Rick. He adored his eleven wonderful grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He loved the game of golf and played on many courses throughout the country, and was a member of the Willow Creek Country Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an active member of the LDS church and served in numberous callings and held the office of High Priest. He was preceded in death by his loving mother and father, sister Dorothy, and brother Glen.He is survived by wife Beverly, daughter Jane,(Drake deceased), son John (Carolee), son Rick (Shauna). Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at noon at the Willow Creek Stake Center at 2350 East Creek Road, Sandy, Utah. Viewing will be held one hour prior.
