John James Peppinger, age 87, passed away on August 24, 2010 in Salt Lake City surrounded by family. John was born November 8, 1922 to Sophos and Bertha Peppinger in Reliance, Wyoming. On November 15, 1947 John married Bonnie Shirley Boyce in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
John served in the military during WWII and the KoreanWar. He worked at Questar for over 30 years. A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he practiced its rich principles of fellowship and true love for everyone he met. He will be missed and cherished by his sweetheart for eternity Bonnie, his children Mick (Charlene) Peppinger, Suzanne (Jacques) Gohier, Jay (Janeene) Peppinger, and son-in-law Mont Cooper; grandchildren Johnny, Nathalie, Corinne, Jacqueline, Patrick, Michelle, Wade, Amber, Blakely, and Taylor as well as 9 great-grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by daughter Shelley Cooper and brothers George and Mick Peppinger.
Services will be held on Saturday August 28, 2010 at 2 PM at the Valley View 8th Ward located at 4395 South Albright Ave, Holladay, UT with a visitation beginning at 12:45 PM. A visitation will also be held on Friday August 27th, at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary located at 3401 South Highland Drive from 6 to 8 PM.
