He was supported in his battle by his wife, children and many good friends. He was born September 24, 1954, in Houston, Texas. He met the love of his life, Bonnie, in 1980 through work. They were married in October of 1989 in Elko, Nevada.
John loved to build and restore hotrods, and he loved drag racing. He worked for many years on the South Salt Lake fire department and as the fireman at Bonneville racetrack, then Rocky Mountain Raceway. The kids have many fond memories of weekends at the racetrack watching the races from the best seats in the house and on some weekends watch John race his own dragster.
Most recently he worked for Equity Property Management and was a valued employee. He claimed his vocation as a “Jack of all trades, but master of none.” He truly was very skilled at what he did.
John was loved by many friends, his family, but especially by his wife. He will be greatly missed.
John is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie, children: Sabrina Shelton, Charice Cloward, Sarah Millerberg and Benjamin Millerberg, 8 grandchildren and 2 grand-dogs.
