Judy Helen Osterloh passed away from Alzheimer’s on Monday September 23, 2013, surrounded by her family. Judy was born on March 9, 1940 in Salt Lake City to John Uriah Roberts and Grace Lillian Hoppe Roberts. Judy married Kent M. Osterloh on January 30, 1970.
Judy was a legal secretary for 20 years before she started a career in retail. She worked for ZCMI and JCPenney for over a decade. Judy and Kent left the Holladay area and moved to Oakley, Utah in the mid-nineties where they built a beautiful home. Judy loved sitting on her patio gazing at the mountains and their horses.
Judy was a character and had a great passion for living life to the fullest. She enjoyed entertaining her family and friends and was legendary for her fabulous holiday parties. She was also an avid golfer and a true gambler at heart. She had many good times playing the quarter slot machines in Wendover with her best friend of 50 years Kathy Barnes. Judy loved to spend time with her family and beloved grandchildren.
Judy was always there for others and had a knack for helping everyone. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Jerry and Johnny. She is survived by her husband Kent M. Osterloh, children James Burgess, Stacie (Ryan) Williams, Marc (Elizabeth) Osterloh, seven grandchildren and her sister Joan Clark.
It was Judy’s wish that no funeral services be held in her honor. Instead it was her hope that family and friends could remember the many wonderful times they shared together.
A special note of gratitude to Frankie at Inspiration Hospice for her always present kind and caring heart.
