

Karen was born on March 26, 1958 in Salt Lake City. She was the youngest child of Ray and Delpha Triptow. She was beloved by her three older siblings; Sharol Snowball (Dee), Delaine McEwan, Dale Triptow (Teresa) and admired by many nieces and nephews. She married William R McEwan (later divorced). They had four sons; Joshua, Brandon (Katy), Daniel (Lacey), and Justin (Bryn). Karen has been blessed with 13 grandchildren who she adored.
Karen developed many skills to help others. She was a massage therapist for 16 years with Dr. Green and she worked at Healthy Me health food store for 5 years. She was a faithful member of the LDS church and held many callings in Relief Society, Primary and Cub Scouts.
Karen was proficient at gourmet cooking, sewing, crocheting and organic gardening. She also loved motorcycle riding, horseback riding and fishing with her Dad and her sons. She had an adventurous spirit and tried skydiving and scuba diving.
Karen enjoyed going to the temple and she became the family genealogist finding many ancestors on her father's Pomeranian-German line.
Karen loved her Yorkshire Terriers. Dapper has been her constant companion.

There will be a viewing held Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 9 AM to 9:45 AM at the Burch Creek 3rd Ward, located at 5161 South 1300 East, Ogden, Utah. A funeral service will follow at 10 AM. Interment will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
