Karl Ward, 85, our beloved husband, father and grandpa, passed away peacefully at home on May 11, 2014 in Taylorsville, UT. He was born July 31, 1928 in Provo, UT to Joseph A. Ward and Ada R. Gibbons Ward. Karl attended Provo High School and later married Shirley Kuhn on May 23, 1959 in Las Vegas, NV. He loved spending time with his family and travelling abroad. Karl served his country during the Korean War and retired with the Tooele Army Depot.He is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Susan (Mike) Vosgerau; son, Joe (Kim) Ward; daughter, Lisa (David) Wahlin and daughter, Julie Ward; seven grandchildren, Tiffany, Hunter, Tori, Mercedes, Jacob, Cody, and Kaylee and one great-grandchild, Zachery. Preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Archie, Vern, Lynn, Thelma, Elva, Mildred and Ada; grandson, "Rusty" Riddle.Graveside services will be Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 1pm at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. There will be a viewing at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary one-hour prior to services.
