“Love is a journey, not a destination.” Kevin Gibbons was born on February 25, 1956 in Oakland, California, to parents Donna and Travis Gibbons. He passed away on February 9th, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kevin was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, son, and Physical Therapist. He was a generous man with a passion for family, friends, motorcycles, boating and living life to the fullest. Kevin grew up in San Jose, California, and graduated from Blackford High School in 1975. He earned a B.S. degree in Physical Education from San Jose State University, a B.S. degree in Physical Therapy Northwestern University, and a Master of Science Degree from the University of Arizona. He was a sincere and compassionate Physical Therapist, who was respected by his colleagues and patients. Kevin married his soul mate, Cindy Mangelson, on the beach in St. Thomas March 4, 2009. He is survived by his wife; and children Kyle Gibbons, Bryan Gibbons, Alicia Hodges (Cameron Hodges), Guyla Larson, and 3 grandchildren. Also survived by his father, Travis Gibbons, brother, Eric Gibbons, and sister, Lisha Sivihok. Funeral services with be held at noon Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. The family will receive friends an hour before services. There will also be a celebration of life held at Wasatch Lawn Wednesday, February 16th from 6 pm-8 pm.
