She was born on July 10, 1936 to Samuel Allen and Chloe Lorlean Davenport in Brigham City, Utah. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Dean, Siblings: Dorothy, Layland, Alice, Evelyn, Jack, Duane and Nevah, son Donald Brent Smith and son-in-law Eric Nielson. She is survived by her children: Bonnie Elaine (John) Fawson, Denise Michelle Smith, and David Allen Smith and Granddaughter Chloe Lorraine Smith-Nielson.
Mom was an avid gardener and had beautiful flower, cactus and vegetable gardens and kept all her neighbors supplied with fresh vegetables. She enjoyed playing guitar, belly dancing, being an extra on Touched by An Angel, motorcycle riding, and traveling in her earlier days. She loved her pets: Angel and Mr. T; playing UNO, doing puzzles, collecting rocks and driftwood, Kit Kat candy bars and a good shopping trip to the Goodwill. She had more trinkets than sand on the beach.
Our family would like to thank the staff at Escalante Coventry for their excellent care of Mom. She loved her nurses and sneaking ice cream from the kitchen.
We know she is having a joyful reunion with all her loved ones, especially her husband, who she has been waiting to join for 53 years. She will be buried alongside him at Glacier memorial Cemetery in Montana
A memorial service will be held in her honor at Wasatch Lawn (3401 S. Highland Drive) on March 2nd at 12:00 P.M.
