She attended Vista Elemetary, Evergreen Jr. High, and Olympus High School, graduating in 2022. Lindsey went on to attend college at Salt Lake City Community College. Lindsey was bilingual. She was fluent in Spanish and started learning spanish in elementary school through various subjects like math, English and science. She passed on July 27, 2024 in Millcreek, Utah.
Lindsey is survived by her parents, Bradley Van Orman and Andrea Croft, as well as her siblings, Sierra Van Orman, Dillon Van Orman and James Leatherbury. She is also remembered by her grandmothers Nancy Croft and Suzanne Bailey Van Orman.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Melvin Gerald (Jerry) Van Orman and Marce Val Croft.
Lindsey was so funny when she would take pictures, she would always make a goofy face. Lindsey was highly motivated to achieve in life. She was always bringing people little gifts just because she thought of them that day. She loved kids. She would tell random people she loved their shirts or the way they smelled or even just their style, she always went out of her way to make someone’s day.
Lindsey was very good at sewing and making little projects for her friends and family. She was the go-to person in the family if you needed advice on sewing projects. Lindsey often helped family for hours to get it just right or just help them make it because she cared.
Lindsey enjoyed playing online games with her friends when she was sick or stuck inside. Often she would call her friends while playing just to chat. She always wanted to talk and see how you were.
Lindsey enjoyed baking and cooking for the family throughout her life. She enjoyed giving as much as she could. Every time she would be making food she’d have a huge smile on her face. We all would be smiling around the dinner table laughing and joking around while we had good food to eat. She really would bring the family together.
Lindsey also was spiritual in her own way. She loves to meditate and do yoga and believed in a higher power.
When Lindsey was 3-8 years old, she enjoyed coloring, drawing, swimming, walking in the park, Ice skating, and she loved spending time with her family. Lindsey was so compassionate towards her friends and family throughout her life.
Lindsey enjoyed being outdoors and going on new adventures. Before she passed, she was planning a trip with her friends to Oregon to see a longtime friend, just to go there and say hello.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. There will be a viewing beginning at 9:30 am at the same location.
Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
