Margaret Kathryn Hardy

1915 ~ 2010

Margaret Kathryn Springer Hardy passed away peacefully on April 16, 2010. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 24, 1915 to Sieger and Martja Springer. She was preceded in death by her sons Kenneth Brent Hardy and Richard Keith Hardy. Margaret was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved teaching young people and sharing with them her deep love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She loved listening to and singing Grand Opera and had an amazing talent for Art, painting and teaching watercolor and oils. Many of her pictures decorate homes in the area. Margaret always worked hard for what she had and was able to support her family with her talent for art. She was generous and well liked with many friends and acquaintances. She is survived by her daughter Carole Healy, her daughter in law, Sherrie Hardy, 7 Grand children, 14 Great Grand Children, 9 Great Great Grand children, her sister Lucy and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Hospice Group from Love Home Health for their loving, attentive care and concern for her. A special thanks to Chris Bailly who became part of Margaret’s family. Funeral services will be held at the Olympus Stake Center located at 2675 East 4430 South on Thursday April 22, 2010 at 11am. Viewings will be Wednesday from 6-8pm at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr. and one hour before the service at the church.
