

Ann was born to Melvin Russell Ballard and Geraldine Smith Ballard on May 25, 1933, the second of three children. She was born and raised in Salt lake City. She attended East High School, where she met and subsequently married her first husband, John Gary Maxwell.
She attended the University of Utah and joined the Chi Omega sorority and graduated with a degree in education. This allowed her to support her husband while he attended medical school by teaching second grade. Children arrived; the first were twins, Kevin and Collette. She had her hands full with them while also running a small farm. A third child, Sue, soon arrived.
The family then moved to Panama for two years while Gary served his military duty, and Dave arrived there. Lisa, the final child, rounded out the family.
She loved her family and excelled in the home, teaching her children not only domestic skills but life skills through teaching and by example.
After her divorce from Gary, she married Ramah Hulbert Keddington, and by him gained a second family which she loved and treasured.
With Hulbert they served as a missionary couple in Scotland.
Ann’s many accomplishments included being a home engineer, a wonderful cook, seamstress, and example of compassion for many.
She was full of energy and always enthusiastic for a new adventure.
This lead to activities such as building a cabin in Lamb’s canyon with her father, which brought she and her family great joy over the years. She loved boating with her family. Life found her waterskiing, fishing, camping, and hiking, She loved the sun, and being on the water, but not so much in the water!
She was always full of energy and willing to help selflessly.
She could be found gardening, running a bed and breakfast, tending grandchildren, and reaching out to a friend in need.
She had a loving and supportive relationship with her sister and brother.
She was proud of her faith and was a valiant member of the LDS faith, serving in many callings and was a lifelong temple recommend holder.
She was proud of her family heritage which included many dedicated and faithful saints.
She is preceded in death by brother, M. Russell Ballard, and her sister Chaundra Larson.
She is survived by her five children, 9 grandchildren and 12 ½ great grandchildren, and numerous step children, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
