

Marilynn Jean Hackwell, our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2015 surrounded by family. She was born January 6, 1931, to Clarence and Leona Goff in Los Angeles, California. She married Darwin Hackwell, May 20, 1950 and later moved the family to Utah. She was known by the locals for collecting and selling night crawlers by the dozens. When she wasn’t busy taking care of the family she had a great love and passion for crocheting, especially doilies and teaching others. Her highlight was the special visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren to keep her company. She always loved the chance to visit and spend time near the coast.
Marilynn is survived by her 5 children: Delbert (Irma) Hackwell, Mike Hackwell, Lynn (Tony) Hackwell-Garcia, Donna (Kim) Bowlden, Paul (Kimberly); 1 brother Richard Goff; 17 grandchildren: Tyson (Sarah) Bowlden, Gina (Brad) Oostveen, Robin Jorgensen-Lacey, Hans (Stephanie) Jorgensen, Holly (Joe) Jorgensen-Watson, Jon (Kimberly) Jorgensen, Jodi (Kelly) McCoy , Cody Hackwell, Nichol (Matt) Rohrer, Teresa (Steven) Koontz, Sabrina Bee, Brent (Heather) Hackwell, Chrisitna Hackwell, Beau Hackwell, Tiffany Romaine, Shan Hackwell, Heath Hackwell; 49 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. Proceded in death by her husband Darwin Hackwell, her parents Clarence and Lenona Goff, her son Larry Hackwell, and granddaughter Brandi Hackwell.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a viewing at 11:00 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, SLC, Utah followed by the Graveside Interment Service at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
