Marlene Armour

Our dearly beloved wife and mother, Marlene Stiegele Armour, 86, passed away on March 11, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Marlene was born on September 16, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John G. Stiegele and Annie Dammeier. She graduated from South High School in 1946. She married the love of her life Robert Kay Armour, March 17, 1951. Marlene began working as a secretary with Safeway. She was an accomplished seamstress. Her work was sold by Lingle Brothers and Clark Leaming Interiors. She was involved with her church and enjoyed serving in many capacities. She also volunteered with the South High Alumni Association. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and was an excellent homemaker. She and Robert were rarely apart and traveled extensively throughout their married life. She is survived by her daughter, Marla Kay (Douglas) Shinney and three nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert, son Robert Brian, her parents, four sisters and three brothers. Services will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM. A viewing will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and one hour prior to the services.
