Mary K. Dominguez

Mary passed away peacefully with family by her side on July 13, 2013 from complications due to diabetes. Mary was born Sept. 8, 1937 in Salt Lake City, UT to Jesse Ibarra and Martha Chavez. She married Joe L. Dominguez Nov.3, 1954.

Mary lived in Salt Lake for the majority of her life. She had spent the last six years living in Northern California before recently returning to Salt Lake. Mary had many great qualities about her that are now instilled in her children. She was not only a hard working woman outside the home, but inside as well. She always took great pride in her children and her home. Wherever Mary went she made friends along the way. The family would like to thank Dr.Rubin, Dr. Shamir, and the staff at DaVita Dialysis Vacaville, CA as well as Dr. Scott, Dr. Barney, Dr. Granata and staff at Intermountain Medical Center, Murray, UT and Vista Hospice. She is survived by her six children: Pat (Chad) Van Wagoner, JoAnn (Mick) Ashton, Marianne (Tag) Buie, DeAnna (Jeff) DeKorver, Michele (John) Kind, Joey (Maya) Dominguez; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Siblings, Helen, Teresa, Madeline, Judy, Charlene, Vern, Pat, Paul. Preceded in death by husband, Joe L. Dominguez; Parents Jesse and Martha; siblings, Jim, Lil, Jesse, Johnny. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday July 17, 2013 11:00 at Wasatch Lawn 3401 S. Highland Dr. Salt Lake City, UT. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
