Mary Gene “M.G.” Bracken, age 74, of Taylorsville, Utah passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024. Born in Salt Lake City, UT to Richard “Dick” Naylor and Pauline “Polly” Schneider. Mary Gene had one daughter, Deana (David) Redmond, two grandchildren Aubree Redmond, Nicholas Redmond and two great-grandchildren, Mia and Joaquin. She is preceded in death by both of her parents and her older brother Larry Naylor.
Mary Gene graduated from Kearns High School in 1968 and completed her Associates Degree from Salt Lake Community College where she met and married Dean Bracken on October 8, 1970, later divorced. Mary Gene worked for Northrup Grumman until her retirement in July 2014. In retirement, she found joy in painting and spending all her time with her beloved cat and her family.
Mom, you have taken some of my heart with you and I will miss you dearly everyday.
