Joan Haddock passed away peacefully at her home on February 26, 2020, at the age of 90. Born November 8, 1929, Joan was a continual learner, entertainer, passionate animal lover, world traveler, life of the party and caring mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. In Joan’s own words, “Having completed this life’s experience on the journey home to God, I hope I have become more caring of others, less judgmental and hopefully gained some wisdom on the way. Thank you for your prayers on my behalf.”
Joan is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ben; sons Brad and Bruce; sister Judy; and many puppy-dogs. She is survived by her grandson, Darren; and daughter-in-law Lisa. She will be missed by countless friends, and extended family. Many thanks to her sister-in-law Leslie who provided continuous support and love for Joan, and her nurse, Heather, for her compassionate care.
Cremation will take place at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, where Joan will be laid to rest alongside Ben. Joan requested no services. Instead, remember the life Joan led, her wonderfully eccentric personality, and the attention she willing gave to everyone she met. Take peace knowing that, as a deeply spiritual woman, Joan was eagerly looking forward to this next phase in her story. Rest in paradise sweet Joan.
