Sun's Up - February 16, 1943 - Salt Lake City, Utah. Millie was born to Mildred Hunter and Fredrick Ashley Cox in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the second child of four, with two sisters and one brother. She graduated from Granite High School in 1961. On May 5, 1962, she married Dick B Duffin. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple the following year. Together, Millie and Dick welcomed four children-three sons and one daughter-and went on to build a life centered on faith, family, love… and camping.
In addition to raising her own children, Millie owned and operated a daycare for 30 years, caring for countless children. In retirement, she and Dick embraced the joy of travel, discovering new places, embarking on adventures, and forming lasting friendships along the way. Her favorite places to visit include the Oregon coast and Disneyland. She took great pleasure in hosting her much-loved "Dilly Muffin" parties with friends and fellow travelers. Millie loved lilacs, springtime, and John Denver's Sunshine on My Shoulders. A lifelong chaser of the sun, Millie was diligent about never missing a sunrise, no matter where her travels took her.
Sun's Down - January 5, 2026 - Lehi, Utah. Millie passed away peacefully at the age of 82 from heart failure, surrounded by her loved ones.
