

Norma was born in Mendon, Cache County, Utah on February 6, 1923, to parents Magnus Irvin Larsen and Selma Lundquist Larsen.
The family moved to Portland, Oregon in 1927 where Norma attended elementary through high school and graduated from Washington High with an academic scholarship to Lewis and Clark College in Portland. There she joined Sigma Rho Social Sorority and was also inducted into Americans Honor Service Society.
She transferred to Western Oregon University for 2 years, and also attended University of California at Berkeley.
She then completed a bachelor degree at BYU, where she met the love of her life, Bruce B. Stevens, and on May 27, 1949 they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Bruce passed away in 1982, a hero of the 82nd Airborne, having been wounded at Bastogne, WWII.
After teaching many years, in Granite School District, Norma completed a masters and a doctorate at BYU, with an endorsement in Gifted Education from Utah State University. She was a member of Lamba Delta Sigma and also inducted into Phi Delta Kappa, Education Fraternity. She mentored student teachers from USU and was also an adjunct instructor in Alpine District and BYU partnership.
Norma enjoyed many years of teaching in public schools, as well as Relief Society, Primary, and MIA. Her favorite years were spent in scouting, from Den Mother to Council Trainer. She also devoted much time to family history.
She married Dr. Paul G. Rademacher in May 1991, he passed away in 2002.
Norma is survived by her children Susan, Douglas and wife Cathy, Bradley; her grandchildren Morgan, Madison and Taylore and husband J.P.; her sister Maxine Swenson; and one great-grandson, Kendrick, who was the apple of her eye.
She is preceded in death by her son Mark, who passed away in November 2012.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016, at 6:00 p.m., at the Little Cottonwood 1st Ward, 6350 S. Rodeo Lane, Salt Lake City, Utah, with a viewing held from 5:00 – 5:45 p.m. Interment will be on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
