Patricia Ann Toomey

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, best friend and a guiding light for the world, Patricia Ann Toomey born December 20, 1946, in Brooklyn, N.Y., passed away February 5, 2025, with her family by her side. Patricia made an extraordinary impact on everyone she encountered. She was a force to contend with and a welcoming soul who went about her life helping others find their way. She adored her family and her love for them had no boundary. Patricia was predeceased by her husband Patrick, her brother Bill, and her parents. She is survived by her daughter Aileen, son in law Gary, grandsons Cian and Dylan, sister Robin, god children, niece and nephew, cousins and extended family.

When I die give what's left of me away

to children and old men that wait to die.

And if you need to cry,

cry for your brother walking the street beside you.

And when you need me, put your arms around anyone

and give them what you need to give me.

I want to leave you something,

something better than words or sounds.

Look for me in the people I've known or loved,

and if you cannot give me away,

at least let me live in your eyes and not in your mind.

You can love me best by letting hands touch hands,

and by letting go of children that need to be free.

Love doesn't die, people do.

So, when all that's left of me is love,

give me away.

An evening visitation for Patricia will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah 84106. with a rosary from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM,

Funeral mass will be Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9757 S. 1700 E., Sandy, UT 84092.

Inurnment: Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, UT 84065.
