Ralph L. Moore

Ralph Lawrence Moore, 90 of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away on April 26, 2017 at his house in Holladay, Utah, 3 days shy of his 91st birthday.Ralph Lawrence Moore was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lawrence Henry Moore and Emma Benge Moore on April 29,1926. He graduated from East High School in 1945. Ralph attended University of Utah. Ralph served for 3 years as an LDS missionary in the West German Mission. He married Barbara Christiansen on October 14, 1954 in the Salt Lake City temple. After his mission he continued to serve faithfully in many callings. Ralph worked for 36 years as an insurance agent for New York Life and retired in 1989. He was honored by New York Life as a Senior NYLIC. Ralph loved gardening, travelling and had a passion for model airplanes (free-flight and radio-controlled).Ralph Lawrence Moore is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Henry Moore, Emma Benge and his grandson Matthew Simmonds. Ralph is survived by his wife Barbara, his children Stephen Moore (Laura Tietjen), Chris Simmonds (Jeff), Susie Worlton (Jim) and Marcie Pond (Kelly), and by 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.There will be a viewing held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, May 1, 2017 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. A short visitation will also occur before the funeral from 9:45 to 10:45 AM at the Holladay North Stake Center located at 4395 Albright Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, May 2, 2017 at the Stake Center. Burial will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park located at 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT.The family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to so many family, friends and neighbors for all of their help, love, concern and prayers during Ralph's journey through his life.
