Reed J Metcalf

Reed J. Metcalf passed away April 13, 2014, after an illness. Our dad was 90 years. old and had a wonderful long life. He was born October 23,1923 to William J. and Sylvia W. Metcalf in Gunnison, Utah. He married Barbara L. Mclntire on July 9,1947- later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple. Our mom preceded him in death on November 22,1988. He married Pauline P. Milne on September 6,1989 and she graced our lives until she passed away on August 22, 2007. He was successful insurance agent for State Farm for 33 years. He retired October 31,1993. He served as a Sargent In Patton's 3rd Army in World War II 1943-1946. He was a life time member of VFW. In his younger days he enjoyed hunting and fishing and later on golf and bowling. He is survived by sister, Barbara Bown, five children and their spouses, Douglas Reed (Nancy)Calif., Marilyn MacLeod (Jeff) Utah, Roger W., Utah, Janice Beckstsead (Kenny) Utah and Vicki Barjuca (Chris) KY, 12, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Herschel and sister Norma. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 Highland Drive.
