

We are devastated to announce the passing of Riley, our beloved son. Riley left us on April 29th, 2022 after a struggle with mental health. Riley was gentle, clever and creative. He enjoyed playing piano, guitar, and was an excellent cook and baker. He discovered a love of learning at the McGillis School. He focused on music at the Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts. He co-attended Granite Technical Institute and Highland High School with plans to attend college. He was studying to become a pharmacist. Riley lit up a room, had a giving heart and loved to help others. He and his sister Katie had many adventures in life and enjoyed making spicy foods. He loved holiday celebrations with family and spending time with friends. We will carry him in our hearts forever. Our beautiful boy. May he Rest in Peace.
He is survived by his sister Katie, parents Melissa and James Henn, aunts Melody Gehring, Susanne Malmos, Carolyn Henn, uncle Todd Gehring, cousins Bethany Gehring, Ryan Malmos, Daniel Malmos, Brian McNally, Amanda McNally, grandparents Rebecca and James Knight, Katherine and Howard Henn.
He was preceded in death by James Michael Malmos, Anne Marie Henn, Edward Gabler Jr, Dorothy and Otto Knight, Gwen and Dale Hart, Frances and Howard Henn Sr, Jane and Henry Edward Gabler Sr.
A memorial will be held Saturday, May 14th at 1:00pm at Wasatch Lawn in Millcreek, Utah. Riley flourished and came to life when he expressed himself through music. Please donate to the Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts.
