Sharon’s long and courageous battle against multiple sclerosis (MS) ended on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. She is now at peace; and passed quietly in her sleep. Born April 6, 1951; in Salt Lake City, Utah; the oldest child of Patricia Pearsall Hartman and Gerald Brown Hartman. She grew up in Salt Lake City, and attended Highland High School. Graduated from Westminster College with a Bachelor of Science. And later received a Master of Arts from Central Michigan University.
Upon graduation from her undergraduate studies; she moved to her beloved Denver, Colorado; to begin a long career in community service. Her work career in Denver included several positions in local hospitals (including Children’s Hospital Denver); as a medical technologist; helping the children of her community. Later on, she would take her empathy and award-winning skills; and put it to work in several non-profits (such as the Rocky Mt Cancer Center Foundation) in the Denver area. In addition to her decades of long service in a leadership role with the Denver, Colorado and National Boards of the Junior League of America.
Sharon was the recipient of numerous awards for her self-less work on behalf of others in Colorado. Her recognitions included the Who’s Who of American Women, Outstanding Young Women of America, and the Woman’s Leader of Excellence award from the Colorado Easter Seal Society. She will be sorely missed.
