My Best Friend Sheldon Gerard Ginsberg was born on May 23, 1970, in Brooklyn, New York. He came into this world kicking and screaming…probably his response to being in a place he would never feel like he fully belonged to. He was born with a light in him that perhaps burned too bright, too hot, too fast. He struggled to find his place…and his people. That is until he found his chosen profession as a psychotherapist. This was a space his life finally made sense and he could use his rich, vibrant experiences to the fullest. His children were his many books and inventions. His mind never stopped creating and trying to solve the confusing ails he saw in society. His website was only the beginning of a complex universe he wanted to share with humanity. He was not a fan of societal norms or rules. They were much too constraining. He did not like staying in one place too long as he liked to explore and see the world. He loved nature and really had little use for material things. He loved to meditate and connect with the energetic flow of the universe. He collected sacred geometry relics and stones that vibrated with the frequency of his soul. His wisdom and perspective could meet any weary traveler and guide them to their own “Zen Harbor” (the name of his private clinical practice). Sheldon passed away with no regrets…his only concern was that he would not get to see the results of this upcoming election. His light went out on November 1, 2024 @ 4:55AM witnessed by his sacred angel and Death Dula, Kimberly Peterson. She described his transition as one of the most sacred moments of her life, stating that his light was so brilliant it took her breath away because it truly was out of this world. This moment truly confirmed what Sheldon had always professed, that, after this life, he would transition to his “true home”. Sheldon was 54 years old and passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is survived by his mother Myra S. Libby and his brother, Lyric Ginsberg. He is proceeded in death by his father, Mark I. Ginsberg. At this time a memorial will be planned on November 2nd, 2024 @ 5:00 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary. There is no planned funeral as that is not what he would want. If you would like to do something in Sheldon’s memory, please practice, mindful presence and active breath work, visit a known energetic vortex in nature or go watch a Superman movie. Those are the places you will be closest to him. He always said dreams would be his medium for visiting those he left behind, so keep an eye out!
