Sheryl Kae Tate (nee Cannon), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away on August 13, 2019 after a lingering illness. She was born on August 20, 1966, in Salt Lake City to Tad and Sharon Cannon. She attended school in Murray, Utah and married Jeff Beckstead on April 13, 1984 (later divorced). She married William Tate on June 2, 2001. They lived in West Valley City and both worked at Parker Engineered Polymer Systems Division until the onset of her illness.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, William John Tate, daughter Heather Seamons, (Ty), beloved grandchildren Kaden, Andre and Taevin; stepchildren (Tate) Billy, Bobby, Shaunte and Trevor and their children; father, Tad Cannon (Mary); stepfather, William Kelsey (Miralee); sisters and brother, Karen Billeter (Danny), Jill Spilker (Steve), and Russell Cannon (Jolene) and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends.
Preceded in death by her mother Sharon Kelsey, brother Bradley Cannon and grandparents.
A memorial service honoring Sheryl will be held Saturday, August 24th at 11:00 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City. Family and friends are invited to a visitation prior to the service, from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m., where they may view photographs of Sheryl's life.
In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to donate to either Humane Society of Utah (www.utahhumane.org) or American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org); two causes close to her heart.
