

Stephanie Lee Spurgeon was born January 18, 1961 in Salt Lake City to loving parents Ralph (Lud) Spurgeon and Judith Lee Ogden Spurgeon. She was their only child. She attended schools in Salt Lake City graduating from Skyline High School where she was in the band and orchestra. She played the violin, saxophone and flute. She worked various jobs in retail including Hogle Zoo and Hallmark Cards on Foothill Drive. Stephanie also volunteered at the Aids Foundation of Utah and had a feral cat license. During her life she loved to travel and explore. She was lucky enough to travel to all seven continents reaching the North Pole and Antarctica two times. In the end Stephanie fought the hardest battle of her life against an aggressive form of cancer. She fought with dignity and grace but lost the fight after only five months on May 25, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is survived by her Aunts Lynda Weir of Half Moon Bay California, Susan Dinkel of Taylorsville, Utah and Kathy Baker Ogden of Salt Lake City, Utah and numerous cousins especially Chris Hurst of Salt Lake City, Utah. Memorial services will be held on Monday June 10, 2013 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary at 2:00 with a viewing 30 minutes prior to service.
