

He was born on August 14, 1957 in Roosevelt, Utah to John L. Zimmerman and Evelyn Granger.
He grew up in Moab, Utah where he loved to hike, fish and hunt with his five brothers.
He worked in the uranium mine there for several years before working for his father in the drilling industry. He left Moab and during his career in the drilling industry worked in many areas of the country, from the West Coast and Northwest, Intermountain Area, Midwest and the East Coast. He worked in the water well industry, later doing environmental drilling. He was highly skilled as a driller, mechanic and all around handyman. He could fix or rebuild anything.
While he was on the east coast, he developed an interest in scuba diving. On the West Coast, he enjoyed road biking, he continued to enjoy these sports for some time.
He liked to cook, liked baking cakes, making ice cream and doing special dishes for the family. He was a better cook than bottle washer, however, this task usually fell on Lori.
He married Lori Poulson April 23, 2004, they have two children, Olivia and Joseph.
He is survived by his wife Lori, children Olivia and Joseph and his father John (Dutch), wife Linda, mother Evelyn, brothers and their wives, Chuck and Maryanna, Randy and Joeline, David and Terryanne, Mike and Karen, Todd and Corrine, stepbrother, Tom and Jessica, stepsister Mari Beth and Brandon, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 11:00a.m., with a visitation one hour prior from 10:00am to 11:00am. The visitation and service will be at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive.
