Susan Gayle Callen Beesley passed away with her son and daughter holding her hands at LDS Hospital on Tuesday, September 10 2013. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Edward Callen and Lenora Kruckenberg Callen. She leaves behind many who love her and feel her loss deeply including her children, Tyson Callen Beesley and Tali McKell Holt, her three older sisters, Lennit Callen, Janet Hursey, and Annette Haney, her grandchildren Zoella Poe and Aden Beesley, and many other valued relatives and friends.
Susan, who was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, spent most of her adult life in Salt Lake City, UT. She worked for the phone company, now called CenturyLink, from the age of eighteen. Her lifelong hobby was for her various craft projects, and she gave up her master bedroom to fill it with all of her "toys." More than that, her passion was for her family-she was her family's heart and its center. She cared about the details of people's lives; she knew the right words to say; she was giving and thoughtful and courageous and independent. She leaves us all much too soon. She will always be loved and always be remembered.
A viewing will be held 5-7pm on Sept. 15th at Christ Lutheran Church, 240 E 5600 S Murray, UT 84107. Funeral services will be held at the same location on Sept.16th at 1:30pm, followed by an internment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S Highland Dr, Salt Lake City, UT 84106.
