Thank you to all Tom's friends and family for the.love and support you've shown! We lost a wonderful and honorable man but he is rejoicing to be reunited with his Heavenly Father and family members who preceded him.  God Speed  Pal! I love you and will miss you terribly! 💔

A few thoughts on our beloved Tom.
I was always confused on why he was called Sam not Tom. Please explain Cathy x
I remember that mixing up names is a common Stout family disability.
Clearly Grandma called him Jim so many times.  Tom thought Dad was her favourite.
Then one time
grandma called Dad Sam and suddenly Tom realised Dad wasn’t his favourite.  
Our Grandparents had a dog name Dandy. I Randy did also get called Dandy my my Grandma xo Tod rest her soul.
I wish Tom had spoken and shared more. He was a wise man. He certainly looked up to Dad.
Had a special bond with Cathy. Loved his little sister Mary.
Loved his animals.
Boy did he enjoy his food. Our whole family was food obsessed.
I remember the story when Dad, Grandpa and Tom went to Swensons (not sure of the spelling) to each smash an earthquake.
It think 8 scoops of ice cream. 8 toppings.
I believe Dad and Grandpa completed the challenge. I think Tom came up short.
I then remembered hearing about Tom returning from Alaska and he was married with 4 step kids. He stated he was married without too much fuss.  Classic Tom.
We love you Tom. You are a good man. I think you under estimated yourself.  He loved his sports.
I have to say it too. He was a proud republican and unapologetic about that choice.
I didn’t realise he was such a strong Christian until recently. There is a 14 hour time difference to Perth, Australia so it will be a 3am funeral.  I look forward to seeing the video. Xxxx

Dear Family and friends of Tom
So sorry we can’t be there to celebrate Tom’s life. He had such a good caring nature and big heart and would help anyone who needed help.  He will be missed by all who knew him.  Our only comfort is in knowing he is with Jesus now and celebrating with his parents and brother Jim in heaven. And when we receive the gift of salvation accepting what Jesus accomplished for us on the cross we can be assured we will be reunited again when our time here on earth is finished.

Sending love from part of Tom’s Perth (Australia) family.  His great nephew and name sake James Thomas Stout (left age 7). His youngest nephew Randall. His sister in law Ginny  to his dearly departed older brother Jim. His great niece Ella Catherine (named after Tom’s sister Cathy) Stout. You are all in our hearts and prayers.

Wow, it seemed just like yesterday I was talking with Tom in the courtyard at Skyline high school, yes it was our 50 year reunion and awesome to remember the years with him.
As I decided to change one of my cars, all four calipers rotors and pads, I reached out and Tom took care of me. To be working on my cars again and not giving the project to one of Tim Dahles dealerships was a good feeling, even though the bolts were a bugger on the calipers. Thanks Tom 
We talked about getting together at the range and doing a little shooting together, it will be a missed opportunity to do some shooting with an old friend, one this earthly existence offers no more reunions at.
I'm glad I spent the time chatting with Tom this last year, and classmates, as we loose more of us I simply say this. May each of our remaining paths in life be filled with health and happy memories.
Always choose the faster horse, steeper ski run, or excuse to spend time together.
As I face a responsibility on Saturday, I am going to attempt to get a replacement so I can attend.
Tom you were a great guy, I'm thankful to have known you both in our youth and this last year.

Tom had become a very good friend. He was a kind and gentle soul. I pray God give those who cared for hom peace and comfort at this most difficult time.

I have had the greatest honor meeting Tom he had become a very important love in my life we had fun together and we had a blast at my place for supper bowl.  I fell for him hard and him for me.  I will always cherish the time we spent together we felt we knew each other forever

My uncle Tom was a good friend,  one of the few relatives I really knew in the USA as I moved out to Australia when I was young.  We shared interests in firearms and high quality knives. He was very excited when he learned I was making knife sharpening into a business. 
Whenever we would visit family in the USA, he always made an effort to be a part of things. We had many enjoyable meals, picnics and just plain fun family times when we were there.  He saw us in California and made a trip out to Australia to see our wives and babies in the early 2000s. He was very complimentary of my wife Kristine and he joined us vfor more activities when the rest of the family were too worn out for any more fun.
He took my brother and I to a shooting range when we last visited Utah in 2010 whichwas a particularly specialmemoryfor us all. He loved and appreciated food very much and was eager to take us to his favourite burger joint and ice creamery... He was a kind, gentle and fascinating guy. He looked up to my dad and his dad and spoke warmly of them often. He was a genuine Christ follower and we shared thoughts and understanding on the divine. He had strong political views, but he didn't let them get in the way of relationships- his sister Cathy had rather different views, but they have always shared a close bond.
I'm grateful to have known Tom and to be able to grow my friendship with him over all the miles between us. 
I have confidence we will see each other again and that will be a joyful day..
I miss you Tom...

I have so many fond memories of my good friend Tom. I met him early in my twenty-five year career with GPC /  NAPA. Along that path I had many opportunities to work with Tom. He was always so cheerful, kind and just plain interesting. He spent several Thanksgiving holidays at my table and I will miss seeing him until my time to cross the bridge from mortality to immortality. God speed Tom. Mark Elmer
