

1955 -2017
Randy Ralph Timmerman passed away August 25, 2017 at the IMC hospital in Murray, Utah after a short and courageous battle with small cell cancer.
Randy was born June 11, 1955 in Salt Lake City to Robert W. Timmerman Sr. and Verla Powell Timmerman and remained in the Holladay/Murray area his entire life. He had a fun and adventurous side to him growing up. He was always willing to try just about anything venturesome. He loved playing sports as a kid. He mostly participated in baseball and football, playing football for Cottonwood High School. Randy was a big fan of the Raiders and Angels. Later in life, Randy’s passion turned to golf.
Randy was an outstanding carpenter, specializing in woodwork and construction. He built several homes before accepting employment at Salt Lake County where he retired on June 1, 2017 completing a 27-year career. He would always say yes to family or friends when asked to help out on a project. The best way to describe Randy is a gentle bear with a gigantic heart.
Randy is survived by his father, brothers: Tom (Leslie), Casey (Ginger), sister Tina Schreyer (Scott), nieces and nephews and his four legged buddy “Halo”. Randy is preceded in death by his wife Kelli Jensen, mother Verla, brother Robert W. Timmerman Jr (Sheila), sister Terri Lebegue (Breck), and four legged buddy “Paris”.
A viewing will be held from 10:30 am. to 11:30 am. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Wasatch Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah as well as a graveside service to follow at 12:00 noon at Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S Vine Street, Murray, Utah. (Gravesite located on 5600 South.)
