Later in life, he devoted several years caring for his mother and kept her active by getting out to visit with their many friends and family. It was always important to him that good memories were made and those he loved had a joyous life.
In his free time, he enjoyed working with his hands, golfing, fishing, having outdoor adventures and spending time with family. Going to the theater was one of his favorite pastimes. His last Christmas was spent going to his favorite show, “The Forgotten Carols” with his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time teaching others as well, such as building a bird house for the front porch, creating leather belts, and various home construction tasks. He loved to take on a challenge and help others learn new things. His memory will continue to live on through his family and the many lives he touched.
