Valerie Isaacs

Valerie Leahy Isaacs walked a unique path. She was born on January 28th 1957 to John Mathew Leahy and Margaret Canady Leahy. A fighter for the forces unseen by most, and an advocate for the outcasted and misunderstood, Val wielded logic and love masterfully, as she walked and talked, magic and light were her constant companions, following in her wake, these things shall remain with her memory.

July 10, 1998 on a Wednesday, she was wed to the love of her life, Timothy R. Isaacs. Together these two found a fondness in their hearts for one another, living a life thought impossible by most. Loving, living, healing and helping those around them, all while providing support and care for each other.

Val was co-founder of the "Order of Our Lady of Salt” in 1994. The order provided monthly Goddess Worship Service to the community for over 15 years as Utah's only open legal Wiccan church.

Val took initiation in the " Ordo Templi Orientis" in January 1996 an international fraternal order. She was also duly confirmed in the Ecclessia Gnostica Catholica in March of 2003. The fellowship of the ODO to act as priestess in the operation of the Gnostic Mass.

On midsummer's day (June 21st) 1997 Val was a co-founder on Sunwise circle a Wiccan awareness group dedicated to finding and helping the lost "children" find their way to the Goddess and Gods.

It is always with great sadness that we let go of the physical, the world around us keeps moving, and we slip into the eternal rest. What is left behind is a strength unrivaled by time and space, a feeling of immortality that stands as a beacon in midst of even the most desperate grief.

Valerie crossed over on April 16th 2018, leaving behind a husband, two step children, and a whole community of family members who will be forever changed by her physical absence. All those connected to her will no doubt feel the weight of loss upon their shoulders, but those who knew Val best will continue to love and live, we will always celebrate the memory of her essence.
