Verla Hoggan

1917 ~ 2010

Our beautiful matriarch, Verla Clark Hoggan, passéd away August 9, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Verla was born on January 4, 1917 in Coalville, Utah to George F. Clark and Nora Randall Clark. She married Dean C. Hoggan in 1937 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She is survived by her children Janet Wilkerson, Randy (Lorrie) Hoggan, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Dean, daughter Julie Hoggan, grandson Ryan Spradling, brother Joe and parents. Mom lived her life with a fighting spirit, enjoying each day to the fullest. Our sincere thank you to Sandy Regional Care Center and Mark for the exceptional love and care given to our mother the past 8 years. Also to JoLene and Sunbrook Hospice for their daily visits keeping mom comfortable in her final days. Funeral services will be held at Wasatch Lawn Chapel, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, at 12:00 Noon Thursday, August 12, with viewing one hour prior to services.
