

Diane Parr, 79, of Calverton, New York, passed away on March 24, 2026. Born on November 28, 1946, Diane was raised in Queens, New York by her loving parents, George and Mary Christopher. It was in Queens that Diane began her journey toward the beautiful and fulfilling life she would go on to create.
Diane met her devoted husband, Michael, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Married for nearly 45 years, their relationship was a true testament to companionship, loyalty, and enduring love.
Early in her career, Diane worked as a bank teller before dedicating herself to raising her family as a stay-at-home mother. She brought warmth and joy wherever she went, her vivacious personality lighting up every room she entered.
Diane had a remarkable talent for crafting and took great pride in creating beautiful handmade pieces. She especially loved quilting, often working alongside Michael—her self-proclaimed “technical support”—who helped ensure every measurement was just right. Together, they brought countless quilts to life. Diane was also known for her knitting, sewing, and crocheting, leaving behind treasured works of art that will be cherished for generations.
In addition to her creative talents, Diane loved to cook and bake for family and friends. Her cheesecake was a beloved specialty that brought joy to many gatherings.
Above all, Diane cherished her role as a grandmother. She found immense joy in being present for her grandchildren’s milestones and activities, always offering love, encouragement, and unwavering support.
Diane is survived by her beloved husband, Michael; her loving children, Sean McAdam and Michael McAdam (Rachel); and her cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Thomas, Myles, and Ella McAdam. She is predeceased by her parents, George and Mary Christopher, and her brother, Michael Christopher.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on April 1, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY 11764.
A committal service will take place on April 2, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am at Wading River Cemetery Association, 10 Locust Road, Wading River, NY 11792.
Diane’s love, creativity, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
