Joanne spent her early years in Montreal with her brother, Gregory, before her family relocated to Centereach, New York. It was there that she met her beloved husband, Glenn, who was not only her neighbor but also her lifelong companion. Together, they shared 40 years and six months of marriage, building a beautiful life and raising their cherished daughter in a home filled with love, music, and laughter.
Joanne dedicated her professional life to education, working as a teacher at Eastern Suffolk BOCES in New York. She was deeply admired for her compassion, dedication, and strong work ethic. Joanne believed in her students with all her heart, and she worked tirelessly to ensure their success, leaving a lasting impact on the many lives she touched.
Outside of her career, Joanne embraced life with joy and creativity. She loved playing the piano, dancing to music, and feeling the rhythm and emotion of each song. She found peace and inspiration in her gardens, especially her butterfly and hummingbird gardens, where she delighted in the beauty and grace of nature. Joanne also enjoyed puzzles and playing the game Mojang, activities that reflected her curiosity and thoughtful nature.
Joanne will be deeply missed by her devoted husband, Glenn; her loving daughter, Jacqueline Clarke; her brother, Gregory Boutin; her nephew, Paul Boutin; her cousins, Judy Robb, Robert Laul, Edwin Broglie, and Stephanie Broglie; and many other loving family members and friends.
