

Joseph "Joe" Titone, 84, of Rocky Point, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025. Joe is now reunited with his beloved wife, Margaret, who recently passed. Together, they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter, and family. Joe was a dedicated father to his son, Joe Titone, and his daughter, Marie E. Titone. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Alexa Titone, Colin Titone, Juliette Titone, and Christopher Stumpf, who brought immense joy to his life. Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Anita Prokesch, and is survived by his nephew, Robert Prokesch.
Joe spent his career as a respected math teacher at Ward Melville High School, where he inspired countless students with his passion for education and problem-solving. Outside the classroom, Joe lived a vibrant life centered on his love of sports, family, and food. A lifelong sports fan, Joe's enthusiasm began with the Brooklyn Dodgers and later transitioned to the New York Mets. He was also a devoted fan of St. John's University basketball, proudly cheering for his alma mater. He loved playing tennis, hitting the golf course, and watching games on his big-screen TV. Joe had a particular love for food, especially Italian dishes accompanied by delicious semolina bread, which brought him endless enjoyment.
Above all, Joe treasured the time spent with his grandchildren. Whether sharing stories, cheering at games, or simply enjoying their company, Joe's love for his family was evident in every moment.
Joe's warmth, humor, and love of life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
