

Born in 1945 and raised in the Bronx, Kevin developed a lifelong love for the New York Yankees. His childhood summers spent with family in Rocky Point. He graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School and, following his patriotic spirit, served in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1971. That same year, Kathleen A. Walsh. Their 35-year marriage was filled with love, laughter, and the joy of raising three children: Kevin, Susan, and Kimberly.
Kevin joined the Suffolk County Police Department, where he rose to the rank of Sergeant, proudly serving his community until his retirement in 2002. His dedication to public service was matched by his passion for lifelong learning—after raising his children, Kevin returned to college and earned his bachelor’s degree from Dowling College.
A man of many interests, Kevin had an enduring passion for golf, playing both locally and at world-renowned courses including Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, and the Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland. He also had a deep love for reading, particularly books on history, and was an avid softball player well into his 70s. He was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees, Giants, and Rangers.
Above all, Kevin was most proud of his family. He was a devoted father to Kevin (Kerri), Susan Mujsce, and Kimberly Miguel (Fernando), and a doting grandfather to Timothy Mujsce, Amanda Maloney, Andrew Mujsce, Kevin E. Maloney, Colin Miguel, Elias Miguel, and Reece Miguel. His grandchildren brought him immense joy and were the light of his life.
Kevin was predeceased by his beloved wife, Kathleen A. Maloney (1946–2003), his brother Patrick Brian Maloney, and his sister Kathleen Damato. He is survived by his children and grandchildren, as well as his nephew Joseph Damato and nieces Ellen Talkington, Theresa Dennison, Kathleen Garay, and Moira Maloney.
Kevin will be remembered for his deep sense of loyalty, his quiet strength, and his unwavering love for his family. His life was one of service, passion, and joy—and his legacy will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
