Putting the essence of Mary Therese Vanderborg’s life in a paragraph is a difficult task, as she lived a long life to the age of 97.
She raised 4 children; and had 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Mary, who always went by her middle name, Terry; had an amazing life with her husband Jack of over 65 years.
As snow birds, they enjoyed a life in New York with friends and family, as well as a life in Florida with new friends to travel with. Terry and Jack traveled together, exploring the world. Their relationship was envied by all who knew them to be a close couple with strong family ties.
In addition to her family with Jack, Terry always remained close with her brothers Jack and Bill and their families as well. Terry was devoted to her mother who also lived with the Vanderborg clan and traveled with them by car, crossing the country numerous times to visit family in California.
Terry was a constant support to her husband who worked nights and weekends to support the family; she oversaw all aspects of raising her children, and she kept the household always running smoothly. We were blessed to have her with us as long as we did and she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
