Michael D. Bennett Sr., age 73, of Sound Beach, New York passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023. Loving father to Michael (Jessica), Brian (Monica) and Matthew. Beloved grandfather to Jacob, Zachary, Zoey, Liam, and Shay. One of many brothers to oldest Dan, and big brother to Allen, Sam, Larry, Lee, and Ken. Michael enjoyed his hobbies of fishing and golf, and traveling around the country, visiting as many national parks as possible. Astronomy was a passion of Michael's, and he could often be found peering through a telescope at the night sky. Michael's grandkids were a light in his life, he found much joy in watching them grow. Michael now joins his cherished wife, Patricia, who predeceased him in February.
